It depends. If you have an audition coming up then someone should inform you about what's required of you. It is always a good idea to have 2 contrasting pieces to perform though. Make sure it doesn't go over 3 minutes (a minute and a half apiece) and make sure that you have some sort of subtle change that distinguishes you from each character, like a hat or a scarf or a jacket. Don't do a complete costume change because you won't have time for it. Two contrasting pieces can mean something contemporary and something classical; or it could mean something dramatic and something comedic. It can vary however you would like it to, as long as the 2 pieces are different from each other.
Also, make sure you know your lines for those pieces. Rehearse, rehearse, rehearse them in front of someone who can be objective and give you some direction. Be prepared to take some harsh criticism if need be.
If your audition consists of a cold reading (which means doing it from the script when you get ther) please keep in mind that just because it's a cold reading doesn't mean you can't read the script before you get there. Get a good idea of the characters and what they're like. I wouldn't try to learn lines if you're doing a cold reading, but it is always nice when you already know the characters and the story before you get there. Break a leg!

Careful m'lady. Don't pack your bags too soon, and don't expect to make the BIG TIMES after you very first audition.

The people who are auditioning will tell you what you need. If they don't, then ask. A resume and a short monologue are excellent to have.

Good luck!! ^_^

Before you do anything, check the Agency/Company name on http://www.easybackgroundcheck.com and http://www.bbb.org

You should also visit http://www.modelingscams.org to learn about how to avoid and detect scams, and ways to get yourself out of those situation...

Now, in responding to your question....

If you are auditioning for modeling, most likely they will ask you to stand in front of a plain wall, and take 3-4 pictures of you.
1) Face forward, a close up
2) Face forward (smiling), 1/2 body
3) Face foward, full body shot
4) You turn side ways.
If you are over 5'8", then they will probably ask you to walk (if they cast for High Fashion) down the room and back. And that was it. They will tell you that they will contact after they have reviewed the photos.

For acting, it really depends. Did they ask you to prepare a monologue or a scene from a play? If not, then most likely they will have sides (extract from a script) available at the location. You will probably be given a show r ttime to prepare. So, I'd suggest arrive at the agency at laset 10 minutes before your appointment time. use that 10 minutes to familiarze yourself with the lines.
These would be a dialogue between two characters, a short monologue, or a commercial script.

If you are new to the Acting and Modeling business, bring a couple of snap shots of yourself, just incase they ask you for a it.

Good L uck!!!!

Wut to expect.....hmm well i have done MANY MANY MANY auditions. No matter what part you are going for you have to be BIG with everything you do!!!they are going to look for ppl who have a talent and wont be afraid. ALWAYS give off a good first impression and be nice, SMILE a lot

Have u ever acted before?! if not i would suggest going to see some plays or even checking out youtube for some plays

You more or likely will have to do a COLD reading ( reading from a monolouge they give you) and if it a musical i would suggest getting a song that you can sing very well, or pick out a song from a broadway show :)

Hope this helps :)

This is information you need to get. If you can't find out, just prepare something just in case. Actorpoint.com has some great monologues...

Make sure you are prepared and RELAX.

depends. find out more information about the place where the auditions are being held. normally, you would just pick a scene out of a movie that shows how good of an actress you are, but there are sometimes certain time limits you must keep the skit within. then you must have a resume, i think. but you will need a LOT of money if you are traveling somewhere out of state. think of the price of gas, the audition fee, and hotel price. It is quiet a lot of work

Various things. They may have a scene they want you to read. Or they may be open to hearing you read a scene of your choice. Have one prepared when you go. But be ready to do what they want you to do cold (unprepared).
